Mombasa

It has prison cells and torture rooms where slaves were held captive once. The Fort also has a museum. Another place of historical importance in Mombasa is the Gedi Ruins. The Ruins have been assigned the status of National Museum and are well preserved by the government. A tour on foot of the Gedi Ruins is a must if one wishes to gain a peek into the history of Swahili Culture. Haller Park is another interesting destination that will appeal to nature enthusiasts. It is home to various species of animals and plants.
Nairobi
The Nairobi National Park and Giraffe Center are worth visiting in Nairobi. The Nairobi National Park has a variety of animals such as lions, giraffes, boars and impalas. It also has an animal orphanage to take care of the inhabitants.
Lamu
Lamu is another destination in Kenya that deserves a traveler’s attention. It is a beautiful town that is lined with exotic and peaceful beaches. Lamu is an ideal honeymoon destination and the town can best be explored on foot. Unlike the big cities, it is free from the congestion and noise as vehicles are prohibited entry into the town. Donkeys are the main form of transport here.
